I chose this photo over the others because I feel it most represents the holiday season and has the most interest.
How did you setup/ compose your photo?
I composed this photo by standing beside my christmas tree, pointing at the gingerbread house but with the tree in shot, and focusing on the background rather than foreground so that the house is in focus rather than the tree.
What stands out the most when you first see it?
The first thing I notice when I look at this photo is the gingerbread house.
What leads you eye around from place to place?
The eye firstly sees the gingerbread house because of selective focus and rule of thirds. The eye then notices the blurred christmas tree, and other details.
What title(s) could you give this artwork?
"Out ginger bread house", "My dad is fab at decorating ginger bread houses but not real ones" etc etc
